Anusol Hemorrhoidal Ointment
Directions:
Adults: When practical, cleanse the affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly. Gently dry by patting or blotting with toilet tissue or a soft cloth before application of this product. Anusol Ointment is to be applied externally or in the lower portion of the anal canal up to 5 times daily. (The enclosed dispensing cap is designed to control dispersion of the ointment to the affected area in the lower portion of the anal canal only.) To use dispensing cap, attach it to tube, lubricate well, then gently insert part way into anus. Squeeze tube to deliver medication. Thoroughly cleanse dispensing cap after use. Children 12 years of age: consult a physician.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage unless directed by a physician. If condition worsens or does not improve within 7 days, consult a physician. In case of bleeding, consult a physician promptly. Certain persons can develop allergic reactions to ingredients in this product. If the symptom being treated does not subside or if redness, irritation, swelling, pain or other symptoms develop or increase, discontinue use and consult a physician. Do not put this product into the rectum by using fingers or any mechanical device or applicator. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately.
